Why I’m Running for Congress

I’m from here. I am part of We the People and part of this community.

For more than 30 years, I have worked with families in California as a health professional and clinician. Every day I’ve listened to people’s concerns about their health, their families, and their futures. Those conversations have given me a deep understanding of the challenges our communities face.

When Systems Stop Working Together

In healthcare, you learn quickly that when systems stop working together, people suffer.

Prevention gets ignored. Small problems grow into larger ones. Trust between patients and the systems meant to serve them begins to break down.

Too often, our federal government reflects a similar challenge.

Partisan gridlock and political incentives have made it harder to address the root causes of the real challenges families face—rising costs, community safety, healthcare access, infrastructure and commutes, water security, and more.

Instead of focusing on long-term solutions, the system too often rewards division rather than collaboration.

Feeling Unrepresented

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t felt represented for years.

Too often, it feels like politicians put themselves and their careers first rather than listening to or truly representing the people they serve. The voices of families, small business owners, and working Californians deserve to be heard again.

That’s why it’s time for change.

I believe I have a finger on the pulse of what our region needs, and I am ready to push for policies that truly serve our communities.

Listening First

But this campaign isn’t just about what I think.

I want to hear from you.

I want to know your concerns, your priorities, and your ideas for improving our communities. True representation starts with listening and building solutions together.

Bringing a Problem-Solving Mindset to Washington

I am running for Congress to bring a problem-solving mindset to government.

Just like in healthcare, we must learn to look at the whole system. That means working across “systems” or party lines, improving communication, and reconnecting the different parts of government so they function together again.

Think of it like the human body: when communication between systems breaks down, health suffers. When we restore coordination and cooperation, the entire body becomes stronger.

Our communities, our state, and our nation deserve that same kind of care and attention.

A Future Worth Fighting For

California families deserve a future that is SAFE, AFFORDABLE, and FULL OF OPPORTUNITY.

A future where families can afford to stay in the communities they love.

A future where businesses can grow, neighborhoods are secure, and our children have real opportunities to succeed.

California is worth fighting for—and together, we can restore the strength, pride, and opportunity that our state was built on.
